So how big is a Nectar queen, and will it actually fit your room?
If you’re looking up Nectar queen mattress dimensions, you’ll see 60 by 80 inches everywhere.
That’s the easy part.
The number that decides your sheets, your headboard and your frame clearance isn’t width.
It’s just height.
All eight adult models come in all four sizes. Height’s where they split, 12 to 15 inches, so a 12 inch Classic doesn’t need the deep pocket sheets a 15 inch Ultra does.
Miss that and you’ll be refitting a sheet that pops off at 3am.
You’ll get the exact numbers for queen, full, twin and twin XL below, plus height for every current model, shipping weight in the box, current prices by size, and if it’ll fit the frame you’ve already got.
All specs are checked against Nectar’s own pages on 4 October 2026.

Key Takeaways
- A Nectar queen is 60 by 80 inches, a full is 54 by 75 inches, a twin is 38 by 75 inches and a Twin XL is 38 by 80 inches.
- Height is independent of footprint. Classic models are 12 inches tall, Premier models are 13 inches, Luxe models are 14 inches, Ultra models are 15 inches and Nectar Kids is 8 inches.
- Nectar lists weights as shipping weights in the carton. A Classic queen ships at about 83 lb, while an Ultra Hybrid queen ships at about 128 lb.
- Nectar prices in October 2026 run from around $349 for a Classic twin to around $2,249 for an Ultra Hybrid queen.
- Every adult Nectar model comes in all four sizes. Nectar Kids comes in twin and full only. Nectar sells no split queen.
- Measure your frame opening. The industry disagrees by an inch on a full, so tape beats spec sheets.
Nectar Mattress Dimensions at a Glance
Looking for the fast lookup? Here it is.

| Full, also called double | 54 by 75 | 137.2 by 190.5 | One adult comfortably |

Who will sleep on this bed?
How much clear floor width do you have?
Measure wall to furniture. A frame adds width beyond the mattress.
Is the tallest sleeper 6 ft or taller?
What matters more to you?
Taller models add layers for more cushioning and support.
Do you want foam or coils?
Nectar Queen Mattress Dimensions: How Big Is It Really?
A Nectar queen measures 60 by 80 inches, or 152.4 by 203.2 cm.
Length runs head to foot. Width runs side to side.
So will it feel roomy enough?
For most couples, yes. You each get about 30 inches of personal width, which feels like a real upgrade from a full.
Is a Nectar Queen Big Enough for Two People?
How much elbow room do you actually need?
A queen gives two sleepers 30 inches each. A full gives you only 27 inches each, and Nectar itself says a full is not typically comfortable for two adults to share night after night.
Tight but workable.
If you share with a restless partner, a dog with opinions, or a toddler who migrates at 2 a.m., you’ll feel those 30 inches shrink fast. Height does not change this math.
Only width does.
Nectar Full Size Mattress Dimensions
So is a Nectar full big enough for two?
A Nectar full measures 54 by 75 inches, or 137.2 by 190.5 cm.
It’s 6 inches narrower and 5 inches shorter than a queen. That sounds small on paper.
It feels bigger in person.
A full works beautifully for one adult who likes to sprawl, a teen with a growing book collection on the bed, or a guest room that pulls double duty as an office. For two adults every night, it’s a compromise you’ll notice by week two.
Cramped, not cozy.
Nectar Twin and Twin XL Mattress Dimensions
What about the smaller Nectar sizes?
A Nectar twin measures 38 by 75 inches, or 96.5 by 190.5 cm. A Nectar Twin XL measures 38 by 80 inches, or 96.5 by 203.2 cm.
Same width. Different length.
The Twin XL adds 5 inches of legroom, which is exactly why dorms love it.
Twin vs Twin XL: Which Nectar Size Suits a Taller Sleeper?
Are you over about 5 feet 10 inches?
You’ll likely want the Twin XL. That extra 5 inches keeps your feet off the end rail without taking an extra inch of floor width.
Think phone booth versus phone booth with legroom.
A twin suits kids, bunks and tight guest nooks. A Twin XL suits teens, college rooms and taller solo sleepers who want a narrow but full length bed.
How Thick Is a Nectar Mattress? Height by Model
Here’s where Nectar gets confusing.
Footprint stays constant. Thickness changes by tier, not by size. A Classic queen and a Classic twin are both 12 inches tall.
That’s physics, not brand magic.
More layers simply stack higher.
| Model | Construction | Height |
|---|---|---|
| Nectar Kids | Memory foam | 8 inches |
| Nectar Classic | Memory foam | 12 inches |
| Nectar Classic Hybrid | Coils plus foam | 12 inches |
| Nectar Premier | Memory foam | 13 inches |
| Nectar Premier Hybrid | Coils plus foam | 13 inches |
| Nectar Luxe | Memory foam | 14 inches |
| Nectar Luxe Hybrid | Coils plus foam | 14 inches |
| Nectar Ultra | Memory foam | 15 inches |
| Nectar Ultra Hybrid | Coils plus foam | 15 inches |
Nectar states each height twice, in its product copy and in its per variant data, and both agree at the 4 October 2026 check.
Nectar Classic 12 Inch, Premier 13 Inch, Luxe 14 Inch and Ultra 15 Inch
So what do those inches mean for you?
Classic at 12 inches balances pressure relief and easy movement. Most side and back sleepers will find it familiar, like a supportive hotel bed without the quicksand trap.
Premier at 13 inches adds more comfort layers and cooling material. Luxe at 14 inches steps up to a plusher, more substantial feel.
Ultra at 15 inches is the skyscraper. You’ll sit higher, you’ll need deeper sheets, and you’ll carry a heavier box upstairs.
Taller isn’t automatically better.
It just changes the logistics.
Why Some Pages Still List a 10 or 11 Inch Nectar
Seen an 11 inch queen or a 10 inch Nectar somewhere?
You’re not imagining it. Nectar’s own older buying guide lists a standard queen as 60 by 80 by 11 inches, which matches no current model in the nine mattress lineup.
Old catalog, new catalog.
Nectar used to sell an Original around 11.5 inches, and some third party pages still show it. As of October 2026 the current lineup is Classic, Premier, Luxe, Ultra, their four Hybrid twins, plus Kids. If a page shows Premier Copper as the top tier, it’s also out of date.
Trust the 12 to 15 inch scale above for adult models today.
Which Nectar Models Come in Each Size
Do you have to give up your favorite model to get your size?
For adults, no. All eight adult Nectar models come in twin, Twin XL, full and queen, plus king family sizes.
Kids is the exception.
| Model | Twin | Twin XL | Full | Queen |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic, Premier, Luxe, Ultra, all four Hybrids | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Nectar Kids, 8 inch | Yes | No | Yes | No |
Nectar also sells no split queen. A generic split queen would be two 30 by 80 inch halves, but Nectar does not offer that configuration.
Split king is Nectar’s couples compromise, not split queen.
If you want different firmnesses on each side from Nectar, you’ll need to look at king sizes. Once you’ve settled on size, the next question is usually how the Classic actually feels day to day, which is what our Nectar mattress review covers.
How Much Does a Nectar Mattress Weigh?
How heavy is that box, really?
Heavy enough to plan for. Nectar publishes shipping weights, meaning mattress plus carton and packaging, not the bare mattress on your frame.
Here are Nectar’s shipping weights in pounds, listed as twin, Twin XL, full, queen:
| Model | Twin | Twin XL | Full | Queen |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | 60 | 62 | 74 | 83 |
| Premier | 64 | 67 | 80 | 90 |
| Luxe | 68 | 71 | 86 | 97 |
| Ultra | 76 | 79 | 97 | 110 |
| Classic Hybrid | 62 | 66 | 86 | 101 |
| Premier Hybrid | 66 | 70 | 91 | 107 |
| Luxe Hybrid | 72 | 76 | 99 | 117 |
| Ultra Hybrid | 72 | 78 | 109 | 128 |
| Kids | 45 | Not offered | 62 | Not offered |
Figures from Nectar’s variant data, checked 4 October 2026.
That Ultra Hybrid queen carton? Yeah, it’s a two person job.
Shipping Weight vs Mattress Weight
Why do different sites list different weights for the same Nectar?
Because they’re measuring different things. Nectar’s 83 lb Classic queen is the shipping weight. One retailer listing for the same mattress shows 78 lb as the item weight, about 5 lb lighter, which lines up with carton and packaging.
Makes sense, right?
One independent publisher lists 66 lb for a Classic queen with no stated method. That figure sits well below both Nectar and the retailer item weight, so treat it as an unexplained outlier rather than a planning number.
Plan with the shipping figure. That’s what shows up at your door.
For a Classic queen, expect roughly 78 to 83 lb of actual mattress. QomfortSleep has not weighed these independently, so we state the range, not a single bare weight fact.
Nectar Mattress Box Dimensions and Whether Two People Can Carry It
Can you muscle it solo?
Nectar ships compressed in a carton around 18 by 18 by 45 inches for most sizes, with larger models using a 20 by 20 by 45 inch carton. It’s compact but dense, like carrying a very sleepy refrigerator box.
Get help for anything over full.
A twin in a hallway is manageable alone. A queen Hybrid or Ultra absolutely wants two adults, especially up stairs or around tight corners. Clear the path before the driver leaves.
Nectar Mattress Prices by Size
So what will you pay by size?
Prices below are Nectar direct, one time purchase in USD, checked 4 October 2026. Nectar was running a sitewide Save Up To 50 percent promotion at capture, so treat these as sale prices that move.
| Model | Twin | Twin XL | Full | Queen |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | Around $349 | Around $549 | Around $599 | Around $699 |
| Classic Hybrid | Around $499 | Around $749 | Around $749 | Around $849 |
| Premier | Around $549 | Around $749 | Around $899 | Around $999 |
| Premier Hybrid | Around $799 | Around $999 | Around $1,149 | Around $1,199 |
| Luxe | Around $1,149 | Around $1,249 | Around $1,349 | Around $1,399 |
| Luxe Hybrid | Around $1,199 | Around $1,399 | Around $1,499 | Around $1,649 |
| Ultra | Around $1,499 | Around $1,799 | Around $1,899 | Around $1,999 |
| Ultra Hybrid | Around $1,749 | Around $2,049 | Around $2,149 | Around $2,249 |
| Kids | Around $299 | Not offered | Around $399 | Not offered |
The pattern is simple. Bigger size costs more, and higher tier costs more.
The jump matters.
A queen Ultra Hybrid costs nearly three times a queen Classic. You’re paying for extra height, denser comfort layers and Hybrid coils, not a bigger footprint.
Nectar also sells a NectarCool cover upgrade on some models for roughly $99 extra on a queen, and its foundation and adjustable base are priced separately by size. Check current terms on trial and warranty at checkout, since those terms move more often than dimensions do.
Will a Nectar Mattress Fit Your Room?
Will it fit, or will you be climbing over the bed to reach the closet?
Nectar’s own room recommendations, not our analysis, give a useful starting point:
| Size | Nectar recommended minimum room |
|---|---|
| Twin | At least 7 by 10 feet, or 9 by 9 feet for two twins |
| Twin XL | At least 8 by 10 feet |
| Full | At least 9 by 9.6 feet |
| Queen | 10 by 10 feet to 10 by 14 feet |
Remember the frame adds bulk.
A typical queen frame adds about 2 to 5 inches to both width and length, bringing the total queen footprint to roughly 62 to 65 inches wide by 82 to 85 inches long. Nightstands, doors and drawers need their share too.
Pro tip from apartment living?
Tape it out. Mark the mattress footprint on the floor with painter’s tape, then mark the frame allowance around it. Leave at least 24 inches to walk around the sides and foot.
If you’re still torn between two sizes, run your room through our mattress size calculator before you buy.
Will a Nectar Mattress Fit Your Bed Frame?
This is where sales stall.
The mattress is standard, but your frame might be tired, bowed, or built for a different era. Measure the inside opening, not the outside wood.
A queen mattress will not fit properly on a full frame. Nectar says to match mattress, frame and sheet sizes together, and that’s genuinely good advice.
Measure first.
Does a Nectar Mattress Need a Box Spring?
Do you need to buy a box spring with a Nectar?
No. Nectar recommends any solid foundation, base or adjustable frame it sells or a similar product, used instead of a traditional box spring. It advises against placing the mattress directly on the floor, on plastic, or on a homemade base.
If your current setup is an old springy box spring with some sag, replace it.
Learn when a box spring still makes sense and when it causes sag in our guide to whether you need a box spring.
A Nectar foundation in queen runs around $349 and is rated to hold up to 700 lb including sleepers and bedding. Foundations are size specific, so a twin foundation won’t rescue a queen.
Nectar Mattress Slat Spacing, Bunkie Boards and Platform Beds
What should you check under the mattress?
Nectar’s buying guide says queen slats should be spaced no more than 3 inches apart, with center support across the 60 inch width to prevent sag. That figure is general guidance from Nectar’s blog, not a warranty condition for a specific model.
Three inches or less.
If your slats are farther apart than that, add a bunkie board or a sheet of ventilated plywood to close the gaps. Platform beds with solid or closely spaced slats usually work well, as long as they’re sturdy and ventilated.

Nectar Mattress Weight Limit by Size
Will the mattress hold you plus a partner plus a large dog?
For Nectar Hybrids, Nectar states twin and Twin XL hold up to 500 lb, while full and queen hold up to 1,000 lb distributed evenly. Nectar publishes no equivalent limit for its all foam line, so that’s unknown rather than unlimited.
Check your base too.
Your foundation should be rated for at least 500 lb for a queen setup, and your adjustable frame will have its own rating. To compare limits across sizes and sleepers, use our weight limit calculator.
What Size Sheets Fit a Nectar Mattress?
Here’s the part taller mattresses break.
Your fitted sheet has to swallow the full height plus a little extra for a protector. Nectar notes that queen fitted sheets commonly come in pocket depths from 8 to 18 inches, with deep pocket sets made for thicker mattresses.
QomfortSleep’s rule of thumb, calculated from Nectar’s heights, not a Nectar spec:
- 8 inch Kids: standard pockets usually work.
- 12 inch Classic and Classic Hybrid: standard deep pockets usually work.
- 13 inch Premier models: choose deep pocket.
- 14 inch Luxe models: choose deep pocket, preferably extra deep if you use a protector.
- 15 inch Ultra models: choose extra deep pocket.
When in doubt, size up the pocket.
A 15 inch Ultra with a puffy protector will pop off a shallow fitted sheet at 3 a.m. like a badly wrapped burrito. Flat queen sheets typically run about 90 by 102 inches, and queen comforters run about 86 to 88 by 96 to 100 inches, which fits all Nectar queens regardless of height.
Why Nectar’s Dimensions Don’t Always Match Other Sites
Why does one site say full is 53 inches and another says 54?
Because the industry disagrees by an inch on a full. Nectar’s consumer guide says 54 by 75 inches. The ISPA sponsored trade body also publishes full at 53 inches in its standard size chart, with consistent math behind it. One retailer listing shows 53 by 75 inches and twin widths at 39 inches.
So who’s right for your bedroom?
For Nectar, use Nectar’s consumer figures: twin 38 inches, Twin XL 38 inches, full 54 inches, queen 60 by 80 inches. Our centimeters above are converted correctly from those inches.
One inch still matters.
If your frame opening is exactly 53 inches wide, a 54 inch full will perch rather than drop in. That’s why we keep saying measure the opening, not just the listing. NapLab’s 45 inch full width is plainly wrong, no inch of nuance there.

Nectar Mattress Dimensions FAQ
How much does a Nectar mattress weigh?
It depends on model and size, and whether you mean shipping or bare weight. Nectar lists shipping weights. A Classic queen ships at about 83 lb, a Luxe queen at about 97 lb, and an Ultra Hybrid queen at about 128 lb, all checked 4 October 2026. Plan your carry with the shipping figure.
What two mattresses make a queen?
Generically, two 30 by 80 inch halves equal a 60 by 80 inch queen footprint. Nectar does not sell a split queen, though. From Nectar, the split setup is a split king, covered in our dimensions of the Nectar king size mattress.
What are the different Nectar mattress sizes?
Nectar sells twin, Twin XL, full, queen, king, California king and split king in its eight adult models. Nectar Kids comes in twin and full only. This article details the four smaller sizes.
How thick is a Nectar mattress?
Classic models are 12 inches thick, Premier models are 13 inches, Luxe models are 14 inches, Ultra models are 15 inches and Kids is 8 inches. Hybrids match their foam tier. Height is the same across sizes within a model.
Do Nectar mattresses fit standard frames?
Yes, as long as the frame matches the size and is sturdy, with slats no more than 3 inches apart and center support on larger sizes. Nectar advises against the floor, plastic bases and homemade foundations.
What size sheets fit a 14 or 15 inch Nectar?
Choose deep pocket sheets for 14 inch Luxe models and extra deep pocket sheets for 15 inch Ultra models, especially if you use a protector. Our per model picks above are QomfortSleep’s calculation from verified heights.
Which Nectar Size Should You Choose?
Still stuck between two sizes?
Pick the sleeper first, then the room. Kids and bunks point to twin. Dorms and tall teens point to Twin XL. Solo adults in studios point to full. Couples, or solo sleepers who sprawl like starfish, point to queen.
Small difference, big mornings.
A queen gives you 5 extra inches of length over a full and 6 extra inches of width, which is the difference between elbows in ribs and actual sleep. It also needs a 10 by 10 foot room minimum and deeper sheets if you go Luxe or Ultra.
If price or stairs are the constraint, a Classic in full often sleeps better than a stretched Ultra in queen. Sweet dreams. Measure twice, order once.
